Detailed Team Overviews
Please find below more specific details about each of our teams!
Written Content Team
All content that you produce will be published on our website (upennimpact.org). We accept all formats ranging from interview and opinion pieces to research style long form articles. While the majority of our work is non-fiction, we also welcome works of fiction that align with our central themes of social justice and awareness.
If you so choose, you can adapt one or more of the pieces you write for our bi-annual print magazine. You can find past issues here: http://upennimpact.org/magazine/
Video Content Team
IMPACT is pleased to announce that from this semester onward we are looking to produce quality video content to be published on our website and through social media channels.
Video content can include video opinion columns, student or other guest interviews, or even animation! We welcome any and all ideas! No previous experience is necessary. We are looking for both content creators and video editors.
IMPACT Events can be divided into four predominant sections as detailed below. As a member of the events team you can pick one or more sections to concentrate on or even work with all of them, depending on your specific interests.
GBMs and Speaker Events
We will be having bi-monthly GBMs featuring speakers from in and around Penn’s campus, discussions about relevant social issues, and Ted-talk style seminars. Past guests include prominent members of Penn faculty, business owners from around Philadelphia, and student leaders.
Community Service Events
These include organizing monthly volunteer opportunities in partnership with local non-profits, and facilitating our annual clothes and books collection drive among others.
Events focusing on building the IMPACT community and creating a space for constructive dialogue and action.
Other Large-scale Events
Our bi-annual magazine release party, end of year celebration, and our annual ‘IMPACT Week’ focusing on encouraging positive action all fall under this category.
The Marketing Team has some wonderful new initiatives for this semester!
Being a part of this team includes advertising all our events around Penn’s campus, and using social media as a tool to increase the reach of the content produced by our incredibly talented team members.
